Ship Security Officer

Ship Security Officer
The purpose of this interactive learning program is to provide knowledge to those who may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Ship Security Officer (SSO) as defined in Part A Section 2.1.6 and Section 12 of the ISPS Code, in accordance with IMO Model Course 3.19.

It is intended to support practical training exercises whether conducted in a training facility or on board ship. It is designed so that it can be used by instructors as a teaching/learning aid, or by individuals as a self-paced learning tool.

This versatile learning aid is suitable for multiple users, having a log in facility, progress report, final assessment, and administration access. It can be linked to the iTEST for more comprehensive evaluation and record keeping.

It is network enabled and can be run from the IDESS Competence Development Manager for ease of recording training sessions and assessment results.
