Combining their respective experience and expertise, Maritime Asset Security and Training - MAST, and IDESS Interactive Technologies (IDESS I.T.) Inc. have developed a Computer Based Training program on Anti Piracy.

MAST is a leading UK security company that provides specialist global security services to the maritime community. MAST trainers are accredited by the U.K. Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) in the area of Anti Piracy.

IDESS IT is a leading provider of E-Learning Systems for the Shipping and Offshore Oil and Gas Industries, quality assured by ABS.

Mast has conducted hundreds of successful ship transits through high risk areas, in particular the Gulf of Aden.

The training program is based on the lessons learned and the specialised techniques that have been developed by MAST. Working together with IDESS I.T., these two organisations have created an invaluable learning resource for ship's crews, and their companies, that will ensure that they know how to prepare their ship for transits through high risk areas, and what actions to take upon encountering Pirates.

The training program includes formative assessment and a facility for summative assessment and certification upon successful completion.

The target group for this training is primarily seafarers at the Support and Operational level. It is also an invaluable information resource for Management level personnel.
