The purpose of this interactive learning program is to provide seafarers with access to the knowledge they need as part of required training for Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting as prescribed in Section A-VI/1-2 of STCW '95 and IMO Model Course 1.20.
It is intended to support practical training exercises whether conducted in a fire fighting training facility or on board ship, and is designed so that it can be used by instructors as a teaching / learning aid, or by individuals as a self-paced learning tool.

This versatile learning aid is suitable for multiple users, having a log in facility, progress report and final assessment. It can be linked to the iTEST for more comprehensive evaluation and record keeping.
It is network enabled and is run from the IDESS Distance Learning Manager for ease of recording training sessions and assessment results.
The program provides an average of 4 learning hours.
